If you’re not familiar with Hashcodes, they’re used for executing functions on utxos (e.g. Spend From Secret Key) in Google’s Blockchain.
Also, we’ve released some cool tools to demo our tech at https://github.com/GoogleBlockchain/gbs-api-demo .
Hi all,
I am new to Google Cloud and Blockchain. I am trying to learn more about Google Blockchain. I was able to setup a blockchain instance and run hello world app. I also want to know what hashcode is and how it is used for executing functions on utxos (e.g. Spend From Secret Key) in Google’s Blockchain. How can we create hashcode for any function? Also, we’ve released some cool tools to demo our tech at https://github.com/GoogleBlockchain/gbs-api-demo .
Thanks in advance
Anil
The Google Blockstore API is a public service that contains a set of APIs for building blockchain applications, such as games and social networks. The API allows you to create, store, and retrieve data from the blockchain.
The Google Blockstore API uses the following technologies:
* Hashcodes – Used to execute functions on utxos (e.g. Spend From Secret Key) in Google’s Blockchain.
* Utxo – A single unit of value on the blockchain, which can be spent to create another utxo.
* Transactions – The components used to transfer value between parties via utxos (e.g. Spend From Secret Key).
* Data contracts – A contract that provides information about a particular piece of data (e.g. property).
For more information about the Google Blockstore API and its terms of service, please see https://developers.google.com/blockchain/terms-of-service .
This is the hashcode for a UTXO in Google’s Blockchain (GBC). It is used as a reference to execute functions on the UTXO.
For example, when you call Spend From Secret Key, you will provide this hashcode to tell us which UTXO you are trying to spend. The secret key that you provide must match the one used to create the UTXO, and the address given must be able to receive the amount of money being sent.
