How it works

Tutors will work remotely and on their own schedule. Tutoring sessions can be booked for any day of the week and for any timezone. Once we review your application, we’ll invite you for an interview and provide more details about how the platform works and what we expect from our tutors.

CodingGame is a platform that offers interactive courses to help you learn programming. We are looking for students who have coding skills and would like to become a tutor in CodingGame.

The tutors’ primary responsibility is to help students who are struggling with the course material. Tutors are available for each of the classes in our curriculum and can answer questions about homework, labs, projects, study guides, and more.

As a tutor, you will spend most of your time working on our online platform helping students via chat messaging. You will work remotely from anywhere in the world (as long as you have internet access). As a tutor, you are not involved in any grading or teaching of lessons – only answering questions from students who are already enrolled in CodingGame.

I am a student at the University of Waterloo and I am looking for tutors in CodingGame. I’m building an online platform to help students learn coding by solving puzzles.

To solve the puzzles, we provide a set of instructions and some tests that check that the answer is correct. We want to make it easy for students to check their answers and get hints if they are having trouble.

I’m looking for someone with experience in fundamental programming topics like algorithms and data structures, as well as experience in Python or Java.

The job will involve creating or curating content and reviewing student solutions to help guide them towards the correct answer if they are stuck.

CodingGame is a new online coding school looking for passionate computer science undergraduate students to tutor students in introductory coding. We are looking for tutors that are interested in working approximately 5 hours per week and can commit to the position for 6 months. If you enjoy teaching and want to make an impact while gaining experience in a startup environment, this opportunity is for you!

What you’ll do:

Lead 1-on-1 video calls with CodingGame students

Help students debug their code and provide guidance on general programming concepts

Provide feedback on student progress and complete weekly reports

You have:

Completed or currently taking a Data Structures course (CS 161)

Experience with at least one of the following languages – Python, Java, C++, JavaScript

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) both technical and non-technical audiences

Bonus: Experience tutoring or teaching CS concepts or programming languages

CodingGame is an online coding school for children. We teach coding to children from the age of 9 up to 16. The platform is in English and so far has more than 100,000 users.

We are looking for tutors worldwide to give online lessons to our students between 4:30pm and 6pm GMT. We are looking for tutors with a good knowledge of programming (HTML/CSS/JavaScript or Python), who can answer questions posted by students on our Coding Forum (www.codingame.com/forum), help them debug their code, give advice on how to improve it and maybe even push them further.

The role is part-time (1-2hrs per day) and paid above market rate!

I’m seeking tutors in ruby, python and javascript.

The ideal candidate can do all of the following:

1- Answer student questions in a clear and concise manner.

2- Identify common pitfalls and bugs students encounter, and write lessons to address them.

3- Write exercises that teach specific skills, and review other people’s exercises for clarity and accuracy.

4- Can work quickly, but never sacrifice quality.

5- Is familiar with git (or willing to learn it).
