The story for legacy code is that you play as two brothers who are trying to repair their spaceship’s jump module. The brothers are identical twins, so the player doesn’t know which robot they are playing as during gameplay.
The brothers are named Gert and Bert, and they have been sent on a mission to escape their current solar system to find a new home for themselves and their people. During the mission, an asteroid collided with their ship, destroying the ships communications array, leaving them unable to communicate with others or control any drones or weapons. Their only hope is to repair the jump module, allowing them to leave and hopefully find another habitable planet where they can start anew.

This is the fourth version of this story, the first being written in Clickteam Multimedia Fusion 1, the second in Multimedia Fusion 2, and the third in Adventure Game Studio.
In Legacy Code, you play as either Jacob or Max. The two of you are stranded on a foreign planet after your ship’s jump core malfunctions and sends you careening into an asteroid field. You need to work together to repair the jump core so that the two of you can escape before the atmosphere generator fails.
The game is played from a top-down perspective with one player controlling Jacob while the other controls Max. Each character has unique abilities; Jacob can move faster and interact with certain objects in ways that Max cannot, while Max has access to more advanced tools and machines.

Your job is to help the two brothers repair the jump module of their spaceship. To play the game, you have to access the code of the ship and make a few figures.
The spaceship is equipped with a large computer on which you can access all information, as well as repair modules in case of damage.
The game has three levels:
-Level one: The first thing to do when you arrive on the planet is to find an energy source for your ship.
-Level two: You will then have to cross some caves and find a water source in order to fill your tanks.
-Level three: Then, you will have to fix some electric circuits before reaching your final destination.
Legacy code is source code that relates to a no-longer supported or manufactured operating system or other computer technology. As newer versions of software are written and developed, legacy code often proves incompatible, making it difficult or impossible to use newer software on older hardware.
Legacy code is also used to describe computer languages and technologies that are no longer popular or relevant. This can include programming languages, file formats, and hardware components. As new programming languages are created and existing ones are improved upon, many older languages eventually become obsolete as they’re replaced by more efficient alternatives.
The term legacy is also commonly used in reference to systems which have been in place for a long time and are still being used even though newer technologies may exist which are better suited for the task at hand. Legacy systems can also refer to aspects of an organization’s culture which have been in place for a long time but may no longer be effective.
When you start to write a game, often it’s easiest to pick an existing game and then do something similar. So you’ll probably want to look at the code for the games in the examples directory.
In this case, it looks like you’ll want to use two_brothers.py as a starting point. The two_brothers game has two players who are moving around on a map. You can look at the source code for the map (in data/maps/two_brothers) to see how it’s formatted and how players can move around on it.
