The most important tools for communicating with the Prism community are Gitter, Twitter and Github.

Gitter is a chatroom system, similar to IRC. For example, there are a few rooms that are relevant if you want to discuss Prism:

Prism – this is where you can chat about anything related to Prism.

PrismJS/website – if you want to help out on the official website.

There’s also a room for general chat about things not related to Prism.

Twitter can be helpful for keeping up-to-date with stuff about Prism, or quickly asking questions or getting help. You should follow @PrismJS on Twitter (and maybe @LeaVerou too). In addition, we have some hashtags that might interest you:

Prism was designed with a lighter weight approach. We don’t try to support every language or feature under the sun; instead we focus on keeping the core small and fast, while allowing you to build up your own language support with Prism’s plugin system. This means you can use it right out of the box but also have full control over every aspect of your highlighting.

Prism is open source and actively developed on GitHub by a community of contributors. We welcome contributions from anyone and everyone! To find out how to help, please see our contribution guide.

If you’re using Prism, please let us know! It’s always nice to see what people do with it.
