I am a parent of a child who is learning from WhiteHat Jr. I did not know about all this controversy by the time I started my child on the same. I would like to represent my views about the course content and teaching methodology:
Pros:
The course teaches programming in a very fun and interactive way. My child loves it and is eagerly looking forward to his next class.
The classes are live, unlike some other courses which provide pre-recorded videos for self-learning. Being live helps in developing an interactive relationship between students and teachers.
The platform is easy to use and has good user experience
Cons:
WhiteHat Jr seems to be more focused on marketing than on actual education, hence many parents get influenced by the ads and enroll their children into the course. The aggressive marketing also leads to wrong expectations of getting rich quick through coding apps by some parents who then go ahead with bad-mouthing WhiteHat jr at various platforms after they realize that this is not going to happen overnight.
The classes are expensive with most of them costing 3000/- per month, but still, the sessions are short-lived(45 minutes) which makes it difficult for me to justify the cost. It would have been better if the sessions were conducted
