The cameras are all the same size, and their bodies are made from the same materials. The Hero 5 Black is waterproof up to 33ft without a housing. This means that if you want to use it at any greater depth, you will need to use a housing. All of these are great features that make this the ideal camera for underwater photography.

The camera has a built-in GPS functionality which enables it to record your location, altitude and speed while filming. This feature is especially useful if you want to capture yourself in action as it gives your video a more dynamic feel. It also allows you to overlay your speed on top of your footage while editing your videos on GoPro Studio. The most recent update added voice control in 10 languages, meaning that you can command your GoPro hands-free with simple voice commands.

Another great feature of the Hero 5 Black is that it comes with a stereo microphone and advanced wind noise reduction which captures high fidelity sound and eliminates unwanted background noise. The camera also has video stabilisation which enables you to capture smooth footage even when on the move or in rough conditions. If there’s one thing I love

The GoPro Hero 5 Black is the latest in a long line of GoPro cameras, and it’s the best yet. This review will tell you why it’s so good, and also why it’s not for everyone.

There are three versions of the Hero 5 Black: regular, Session and Karma. The regular version is best value for money – it comes with the main camera, a touchscreen LCD, waterproof housing and a host of accessories.

The Session is smaller, lighter and cheaper than the regular version. It doesn’t have any built-in screen but it does have the same lens as the regular camera. It’s waterproof to 10m (33ft) without an external case.

The Karma is different from both of these because it doesn’t come with a camera – instead you buy this separately (either one of the two Hero 5 models or an older model). The Karma also has a stabiliser for smoothing out footage when shooting handheld or on a bike or car.

GoPro has announced their latest addition to the GoPro family, the GoPro Hero 5 Black. In this review we will be going over what is new and improved in this camera, as well as how it compares to previous generations of the GoPro.

We will also be going over some of the features that are unique to the GoPro Hero 5 Black and how they can help you take better videos with your camera.

What’s New in The GoPro Hero 5 Black?

The biggest change in the GoPro Hero 5 Black is its new image stabilization system. It has two separate modes that you can choose from, depending on what kind of video quality you want: EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) or OIS (Optical Image Stabilization). Both of these modes offer similar levels of stabilization, but EIS is much more efficient at reducing blur and jello effect than OIS.

EIS works by using a gyroscope to detect any movement in your hands and compensating for it by shifting the lens accordingly. This process happens hundreds of times every second so that your final video doesn’t look shaky at all. The only downside is that it

When the Hero 5 Black was announced, GoPro was in a tough spot. The company had just launched its Karma drone, only to have to recall it a few weeks later after several users reported that their drones were falling out of the sky. The Hero 5 Black was the first camera from GoPro since the recall, and with the company’s stock trading at an all-time low, it needed the new flagship to be a smash hit.

And smash it did. In November, GoPro reported that sales of its cameras were up by 12% during the holiday quarter. Most impressively, revenue associated with its cameras rose for the first time in two years. So is it any good? Yes — and no.

The Hero 5 Black is GoPro’s most advanced camera ever, with 4K video recording up to 30 frames per second, voice control and electronic image stabilization (EIS). While EIS isn’t as good as optical image stabilization (OIS), it’s still pretty decent, especially when shooting at lower resolutions or frame rates.

GoPro has also added a bunch of software features to make sharing easier than ever before; you can now trim videos right on your camera and use your voice to snap a photo or start recording a video. But there are also some areas

If there’s one thing that can be said about the Hero 5 Black, it’s that GoPro has come up with a really good action camera. GoPro isn’t reinventing the wheel with this one, but it is polishing it to perfection, and bringing some genuinely useful new features to the table.

Over the years I’ve used a number of different GoPros from the original Hero through to last year’s Hero 4 Silver and Black editions. While each one has been better than its predecessor, none of them have managed to make me jump for joy when I first open up the box. The Hero 5 Black though is different. And not just because you now get a new and improved battery as standard – although that is nice to see.

No, this time around I was most excited by the voice control feature that allows you to simply say ‘GoPro take a photo’ or ‘GoPro start recording’ to get your camera snapping away or filming, even if you’ve got it in a waterproof housing. If you’re like me and you’ve ever tried talking to your GoPro while wearing a helmet, or via the wrist remote control only to find that it hasn’t done what you expect (it didn’t hear you properly), then this feature is going to make your life

The Hero 5 Black is GoPro’s best ever action camera. It’s small, waterproof and can shoot 4K video and 12MP stills.

But does it do enough to make a difference? And should you spend the extra money on it?

GoPro cameras are usually pretty simple; they’re designed for the user just to take them out of the box, point and shoot. The Hero 5 Black changes that though; it has lots of new features and a few different shooting modes.

In this review we’ll go through everything – from the design to the video quality and all the features in between – so you know if this is the right action camera for you.
