The Forever Code means the world. You may be wondering what exactly the Forever Code is, and why it’s important to know about it. Well, the Forever Code is a term that was coined by Zarin Rahman of the Web Developers Alliance to describe the code that lives forever in all software.
In a computer program, there are two types of code. One is your own code, which you as a developer create and can completely control. The second type of code is the code written by others, used in third-party libraries or external systems that you are integrating with. In most cases, these other code bases are black boxes to you. These outside pieces of code will have bugs and security flaws just like your own code but they won’t be fixed as often because you don’t control them.
