The C family of languages (C, C++, Objective-C, and C

C is a powerful general-purpose programming language. It can be used to develop software like operating systems, databases, compilers, and so on. C programming is an excellent language to learn to program for beginners.

Before you start practicing various types of examples given in this reference, I’m making an assumption that you are already aware about what is a computer program and what is a computer programming language?

The best way we learn anything is by practice and exercise questions. We have started this section for those (beginner to intermediate) who are familiar with C programming.

Hope, these exercises help you to improve your C coding skills. Currently, following sections are available, we are working hard to add more exercises …. Happy Coding!

C is a procedural language. This means that it uses procedures (also known as functions) to operate on data. A procedure contains a series of computational steps to be carried out. The most common type of procedure is called a subroutine and is referred to as a function in C. A subroutine can be used by other parts of the program; this is why it is also called user-defined function.

Functions are written to perform some specific task and return the result. They can be used over and over again without rewriting the same code all the time. You can pass parameters into functions, just like you pass variables to other programs when using your computer’s command line interface.

Here’s an example of a simple function that takes two numbers, adds them together and returns the answer:

int add_numbers(int num1, int num2) {

int total;

total = num1 + num2;

return(total);

}
